I think if a mage class were to exist it should be very squishy and therefore have ways to protect itself such as a freeze spell/ice barrage.

PS, Heavily appreciate the reference to Oldschool Runescape, love the game.

Mage has already stun chance in lightnig bolt. Adding something in to cold damage bring too many consequences. Like adding same damage to monster's world and resistances. As a Fire Mage I would like to have as well something special in fire spells. Like burning after hit. Like continuous damage.

There's a staff which not only has a chance to stun (freeze), but even looks like Sub-Zero's spell. Because of the Arcane II affix, it also feels like you're casting a spell instead of simply using a staff.
