Fort assault imposible to complete

Hello I'm having a issue with fort assauly quest. I completed at level 9, killed the orc and talk to the sargent, I did all that without going to the warrior guilds first.
So now that the quest says I should go to the warrior guild to claim my reward, I go there and the guard only tell me to go to kingsbraid to help Dumek.

I see your mistake here: After completing the Fort Assault Quest (Killed Xurta) you need to go to the Kingsbridge Town Hall and interact with Chancellor Nebros Located at the South section of Kingsbridge and have a chance to obtain these items:
Breastplate of the Forge - Warrior
Ring of Health - All
Magma Shortsword - Warrior,Rogue
Arcane Pendant - Mage,Cleric

I think best collect choice for
Warrior/Cleric - Fire Breastplate(even it is only warriors', 2 others are w/c)(There are 3 fire breastplates(2 with 20 res, 1 with 15 res)
Mages - Pendant(there are 2 necklaces having both fire and shock resistance, both of them are c/m)

@Arcanmaster also bear in mind you can purchase the sword if you join the Warrior's Guild, but outside of that you don't get a better Light, Fire weapon for a long while. .
