Ghosts are semi-ethereal beings caught between the material world and the planes beyond. Most are hateful and demented, attacking the living on sight but on rare occasion one has enough retained memories to converse with.

All Ghosts have the ghost attribute which means they are healed by death attacks. They are also typically highly resistant to poisons and they have varying resistances to fire, cold and shock. Many deal death and cold damage so resistances to them is advisable.

Ghosts are members of The Undead and thus susceptible to Holy Weapons, they also add to number of killed Undead (for in-game statistics).

Brimard the Bard Brimard, second King of Mercia. His poems and songs were famous and regarded as the best, except by a few traitors that were rightfully punished. Died in 4 AE as his boat sank in the Nekhar. Holy weapons, and resistance to spirit, will be of critical benefit. Initiate Glaydan “Alas poor Glaydan Lay him to rest With his Silvery Mace A failed fetch quest.” ― Glaydan's Funeral Prayer Initiate Glaydan went on a quest for a sacred weapon but fell on the return journey his dedication to complete his task has bound him to the world. Destroying his ghostly form will free his soul. The Silvery Mace can be a useful early-game weapon for non-Cleric players to use and there is no reason to return it urgently to Sister Arta, it can be used for holy smiting and given to Arta when a superior weapon is obtained, but Cleric players might as well return it as it is presented to them as a reward for quest completion. Glaydan is healed by death attacks. Sir Morfados “Alas Sir Morfados His end did meet Not with glory But in a pile of meat.” ― Sir Morfados's Funeral Prayer A legendary knight who died defending his liege in the Battle of Deadwood.
