“Vicious, fanatical little monsters,
but they do know how to party.”
― Loreseeker Bestiary
The most common of the Goblinkind, goblins are small, weak, but numerous green-skinned humanoids found throughout the lands of Varsilia, as well in more remote wildlands. They are notorious pests, not a threat to Lords and Kings, but dangerous enough to villagers and other citizenry.
The common goblin and his kin might also be called fire goblins, for they are bedazzled and entranced by the flickering flame. Resistant but not immune to fire, they take any excuse to celebrate around any blaze, from sporadic campfire dancing to wild bonfire festivals. A short-lived but zesty creature, they have a surprising amount of interests, not only weapons both melee and ranged, but also dancers and tamers of wild beasts. As a common Varsilian pest there are frequent bounties placed on them by local town halls.
Goblinkind are obsessed with all aspects of Dragonkind, but goblins worship red dragons.
Note that for the purpose of the Goblin kill-count, cold-variant Hobgoblins are also full Goblins.
Juvenile critters, these extra small but extra quick greenskins enjoy ganging-up on unwary travellers and workers and slicing at them with vicious Flesh Cutters, and can easily kill unprepared civilians. But they are no match for anyone with martial training and flee at the sight of strength telling their stronger, older brethren to come out.
Ubiquitous around level 1 and 2, as players gain levels they get replaced by other members of the tribe. Almost unseen by player level 5.

Not every greenskin stays with their tribe, apostates who no longer feel the lure of the Esoteric Order of Dragons head out alone into the wilds. Many of them do not survive, but those that do learn to make friends with the beasts of the lands. Animals never attack beastmasters, though they do attack other goblins.
The can be found with wolves or bears, and protect them fiercely with their flesh-cutter tipped javelins, sometimes so successfully Varsilian town halls place bounties on them.

“I thought he would be taller.”
― Loreseeker Notes
The King of the Goblins, who is quite informal and prefers to be called "Boss", is the ultimate fighter of the greenskin tribe. Whilst the firedancers and firelords connect to the deep energies of the Elemental Plane of Fire and gain power from it, he rose through the ranks of Warrior, Guard, and Sergeant to become supreme martial grandmaster. Armed with Bluesteel weapons, to become the Goblin King he must succeed in the trial-by-forge of creating a Charred Buckler. Surrounded by the devoted warriors and shaman of his kin, he takes seriously his sacred duty to oversee the combat training of his fighters, the protection of his lair's Drake, most importantly of all, to guard the entrance to the divine lair of his god, Faazvolfrul.

The four slumbering gods of Bappasalar Cave have broken the minds of these fanatical fire goblins. Overwhelmed by divine presence they do nothing except devote themselves to their gods, and feasting on the burning embers excreted by red dragons Basrudaxul the Elder and Zogaris. It has given these zealots a unique physiology, if the die they explode. And their explosion is so substantial it can kill adjacent kin. And so on. Interlopers to the cave must face huge waves of kamikaze suicide bombs.
