“No matter how many you destroy you will always see
the Return of the Living Dead.”
― Loreseeker Bestiary
In some ways zombies and skeletons are quite similar, they are each reanimated human remains, one of a cadaver, the other primarily of bone though some remnant rotted flesh might remain. Each type has weak drone-like monsters seeking raw murder upon the living, but also stronger examples showing skills and abilities from former lives. But where they differ is the type of reanimation magic used upon them, and the resulting differences of strengths and weaknesses.
Zombies tend to be shambling and unthinking with rotted brains and their flesh is both useful, protecting against cold and shock, along with very strong resistance to toxic and death, but on the other hand typically and characteristically vulnerable to fire. The exceptions are the Mercian Kings, their powers in life give them strong and unique powers in undeath, and the peculiar and individualistic circumstances wit the Beheaded Ones of Castle Storme.
Zombies are members of The Undead and thus susceptible to Holy Weapons, they also add to number of killed Undead (for in-game statistics).
Strong noxious zombie, taking notes and making money for the Big Boss.

Falund the Just, third King of Mercia. His sentences were feared by both the guilty and the innocent, for he distribute justice equally to all. Died in 11 AE when he tripped over his sword.
Though he has rotted to the point of appearance of a skeleton, his susceptibility to fire marks him out as a mighty zombie. Speaking of which, resistance to cold, and dealing fire and holy damage, will be of great benefit.

Headless executioner with a rusty greataxe, he lops and chops from dawn till dusk and dusk till dawn.
It is unforgivable he does not have an Executioner's Axe. Perhaps that's why he lost his head in the first place.
Unusually for a zombie he has no special vulnerability to Fire, though he has a relative one, as he does not resist it at all, but is immune to all other elemental damage besides Spirit.
