Goblins are small humanoid creatures found primarily throughout the lands of Varsilia. There are two known subspecies of goblin-kind with the primary distinction between the two being skin color. Goblins with both red and green skin tones have been observed, and while exactly what this means is unknown, rangers are in the field gaining more information. Goblins are among some of the first enemies the player comes in to contact with, and are immediately aggressive to most other creatures, especially any humans- this can even include bandits. There are several kinds of goblins currently implemented, each differing from the others in abilities and overall combat strength. Goblins tend to band together, especially as they tend to be weak when alone, and they often spawn in small groups of 2-4.

GoblinThe most basic of the goblin race, these enemies are found mostly in Lannegar Valley, and possess limited combat capabilities. They use a Goblin Flesh-Cutter as their weapon of choice, dealing small amounts of damage (typically up to 5 per hit at most), which they can potentially drop. By themselves, goblins aren't particularly threatening, especially thanks to their low level, but can be surprisingly dangerous in groups. Starting at level 1 and only rising to a maximum level of 2, this particular variant stops spawning altogether after the player's level raises enough- this is around level 4 or 5- replaced entirely by warriors, spearmen and others. The basic goblin has a slightly higher movement speed than the rest of the goblin race. LocationsQuestsDrops

Goblin FiredancerThe Firedancer is an extremely dangerous goblin, with the highest health and level of all the goblins, as well as having access to magic abilities. Their method of offense is to cast fireballs at the player from a distance, which are not only powerful but are also potentially made even more deadly should the player not have the means to gain sufficient fire resistance. Firedancers can be very difficult to defend against, especially if the player must sacrifice their means of gaining flame mitigation in favour of higher armor to protect from other enemies. These shamans of sorts can indeed act like a more deadly variant of the spearman, dealing substantial damage at range while being protected by other goblins. In addition to casting fireballs, they can use the skill Heal Wounds, which serves to further amplify their deadliness as they can heal both themselves and teamates alike. This can make fights incredibly difficult for players of equal level, as goblins or other foes defending the Firedancer can last much longer in battle, greatly increasing the chances of killing the player. Goblin SergeantThe toughest of all goblins, these leaders hold authority over their weaker counterparts. Appearing upon reaching level 6, they have the highest armor and DPS out of all the goblins, and are trumped in health only by the Firedancers. For any players of lower-levels, Goblin Sergeants can prove difficult foes even as individuals, but can be extremely effective when supported by other goblins. Goblin SpearmanBuilt much like the warrior, these goblins share many of their characteristics but are notably weaker, both in terms of health and armor, by level 4. They can, and will, engage in long-range combat with the player by throwing their spears - their maximum throwing distance is as far as their aggro range permits. Goblin Spearmen are very vulnerable alone, but thanks to their projectile capabilities can very effectively support their comrades by providing extra damage while the tougher varients of Goblins act as tanks for them. The addition of spearmen to the battle can make it increasingly tricky to escape or fight due to their ability to throw spears. The travel speed of their spears makes them difficult to dodge. Goblin WarriorA more trained goblin that tends to be substantially hardier and more deadly than their normal goblin cousins. Goblin warriors first appear when the player reaches level 2, eventually reaching a maximum level of 4 at which they remain forever. They seem to use a spear as a weapon that cannot be dropped, but do drop other pieces of standard loot, including basic leather armor. Unlike the Goblin Spearman, they do not throw their spear, but instead simply thrust it at their foe in melee. Although already stoic foes relative to their basic goblin counterparts, low-level players must be especially wary of them when they fight alongside others of their kin, particularly Goblin Spearmen.
