Backstory

Grissenda is a valiant warrior from Kingsbridge with aspirations to become a great knight. You first met her outside Kleyou Tomb. She was in pursuit of a family heirloom, the Azaph's_Ring_of_Elements, when a ghost caused her to flee the dungeon. Retrieve the ring for and she'll join you as a Companion. As a Warrior, she provides a durable melee tank capable of holding her own against a horde of enemies.

Note: If you choose to keep the ring during A_Warrior's_Honor, you'll loose the ability to recruit Grissenda as a Companion. That will prevent you from triggering the quest Call of the Blood and prevent you from gaining access to Castle Storme later in the game. If you give the ring to Grissenda, you can take it from her when she joins your party without consequence.

During her unique quest, Call of the Blood, you find out Grissenda comes from a prestigious noble line from the old empire. Grissenda left home to become a knight rather than enter an arranged marriage with the powerful and ambitious Baron Storme. However, Grissenda's action resulted in her younger sister Eirenda to end up marrying the nefarious baron.
