Janod is a wronged wizard hanging out in Kingsbridge (City). He can be found just over the bridge, in the corner. He wears a blue ceremonial robe and is a very noticeable figure. He offers the quest A fair deal and sympathizes with your mutual muggings by Adaon. However if you have Adaon as a companion before you've completed A fair deal it will be impossible to complete as you will have to do A Mad Wizard after which he continues his travels.

If you are disrespectful, he will attack, and probably beat you. No matter how you act, he will reduce your reputation with both Thuram and the Wizard's Guild by 40. By acting polite, you are given an easy way to restore your reputation: giving him 10,000 gold or The Orb of Shadows. If you attack him, you will have to give 10,000 gold and the orb to Conjurer (Icemist).
