Talk:Wizard's Guild

From Exiled Kingdoms Wiki
Hey. I'm pretty new to editing the wiki and I don't actually know how to do it with the formatting and stuff. Because of that, I'm just gonna put some information here in the hopes that someone more adept than me will add it.

Inori Enclave: Contains a person called Misara. She teaches two advanced skills, called Mage Barrier and Shock Ward. They each cost 5,000 gold to learn. Mage Barrier (Passive): "Your Mage Armor is improved, becoming dangerous and frustrating for your foes. Enemies hitting you in melee while your armor is active will be affected." Mage Barrier improves the basic mage skill, Mage Armor. It has three levels that add a push effect to mage armor of 1/1.5/2 meters to enemies who melee attack you while the spell is active. It also deals 12/25/40 shock damage. Level 2 also has a 10% stun chance and level 3 has a 30% chance. The levels costs 1/2/3 SP. You need mage armor at level 3 or level 4 to learn this ability. Shock Ward (Passive): "You can endure elemental damage thanks to your training. Gain a permanent bonus to shock resistance, that stacks with other bonuses." Shock Ward has three levels that grant 12/24/36 shock resistance. Each level costs one SP. You need at least endurance 2 to learn this ability. This skill is available to all classes.

Iron Enclave: Contains a person called Aglaron. He teaches two advanced skills, called Fire Mastery and Fire Ward. They each cost 5,000 gold to learn. Fire Mastery (Active): "You are capable of summoning an elemental from the Plane of Fire for 3 minutes. They are capable of dealing good damage, but rather fragile. You can only keep one summoned creature at the same time and its level can never go above yours." Fire Mastery has three levels. The skill summons a level 7/10/13 fire elemental. It costs 25/35/45 mana. The cooldown is 10 seconds at all levels. Each level costs 2 SP to learn. You need lesser summoning level 2 and at least personality 3 to learn this ability. Fire Ward (Passive): "You can endure elemental damage thanks to your training. Gain a permanent bonus to fire resistance, that stacks with other bonuses." Fire Ward has three levels that grant 12/24/36 fire resistance. Each level costs one SP. You need at least endurance 2 to learn this ability. This skill is available to all classes.

Great Plains Enclave: Contains a person called Arabelle de Winter. She teaches two advanced skills, called Ice Mastery and Ice Ward. They each cost 5,000 gold to learn. Ice Mastery (Active): "You are capable of summoning an elemental from the Plane of Ice for 3 minutes. They're very resilient creatures. You can only keep one summoned creature at the same time and its level can never go above yours." Ice Mastery has three levels. The skill summons a level 7/10/13 ice elemental. It costs 25/35/45 mana. The cooldown is 20 seconds at all levels. The levels cost 1/2/3 SP to learn. You need lesser summoning level 2 and at least personality 3 to learn this ability. Ice Ward (Passive): "You can endure elemental damage thanks to your training. Gain a permanent bonus to cold resistance, that stacks with other bonuses." Ice Ward has three levels that grant 12/24/36 cold resistance. Each level costs one SP. You need at least endurance 2 to learn this ability. This skill is available to all classes.

Thuram: The entirety of Thuram is new, so I'm just gonna tackle the Wizard's Guild affiliates. There are two trainers here; Dorbus and Ilemma. Ilemma is the High Mage of the Wizard's Guild. She can recruit you to the guild and will only teach her skills to members. Dorbus teaches the advanced skills Gate, Summoner and Toxic Ward. Ilemma teaches Disintegrate, Earth Mastery, and Arcanist. Each skill costs 5,000 gold to learn. Gate (Active): "While you are not a 'Traveler' wizard, you are still capable of some limited forms of teleportation. This power will not work in large towns and some areas that are magically sealed." This skill has two levels. Level one lets you teleport to the nearest town. Level two lets you teleport to any town you've visited before. Both levels cost 20 mana and have a cooldown of 20 seconds. The levels cost 1/2 SP to learn. This skill may be learned by clerics as well as mages. Summoner (Passive): You are capable of strengthening the link between summoned creatures and their home plane. The creature's level is increased, and can even go above yours." Summoner has three levels. Each level increases the level of all the creatures you summon (I'm assuming that applies to spells like Fire Mastery as well as scrolls) by 1/2/3 (total). This skill costs 1/1/2 SP to learn. This skill may be learned by clerics as well as mages. Toxic Ward (Passive): "You can endure acid and poison thanks to your training. Gain a permanent bonus to Toxic resistance, that stacks with other bonuses." Toxic Ward has three levels that grant 12/24/36 toxic resistance. Each level costs one SP. You need at least endurance 2 to learn this ability. This skill is available to all classes. Disintegrate (Active): You call upon devastating magical energies to enhance your next weapon attack with a large amount of normal damage. This attack must be done quickly or the power vanishes." Disintegrate has three levels that add 50/75/100 normal damage to your next attack plus 0/1/2 additional damage per level of your character. The spell costs 25/50/70 mana. The cooldown is 20 seconds. The skill costs 1/2/3 SP to learn. This skill requires at least intelligence 5 to learn. Earth Mastery (Active): "You are capable of summoning an elemental from the Plane of Earth for 3 minutes. You can only keep one summoned creature at the same time and its level can never go above yours." Earth Mastery has three levels. The skill summons a level 8/11/15 earth elemental. It costs 40/60/80 mana. The cooldown is 30 seconds at all levels. The levels cost 2/2/3 SP to learn. You need lesser summoning level 2 and at least personality 4 to learn this ability. Arcanist (Passive): "You are capable of powering wands and staves labeled as Arcane without requiring so much mana." Arcanist has three levels. They reduce the amount of mana consumed by wands and staves that have the arcane trait by 1/2/3. The skill costs 2 SP for all levels. You need at least endurance 3 and Mana Surge level 2.

I noticed near the end of this data gathering session that all the ward skills are available to all classes, not just mages. After that I kept an eye on it, but there might be some skills here that can be learned by other classes than mages and I missed them. I also may have gotten the ward descriptions slightly wrong, because I just wrote one and copy pasted it. I know that for Ilemma you need to join the Wizard's Guild, but all the rest of these are unlocked by just having reputation with the Wizard's Guild. 10+ I think, but don't quote me on that.
