Derina Gasham from the Royal Loreseekers is trying to locate the fabled Mathrisian Codex, but has failed in her efforts. Can you help her to retrieve this important source of Andorian lore?
Quest Steps
- Intellect 3 required; Anti-Rad equipment, optional but recommended.
- Receive the quest from Derina Gasham at the SW-side of Southern Dragon Mountains.
- Head into Ashen Wastes -> Head into Ashen Cape (not the exit via Sunken Citadel.
- Discover a corpse at northwest, pass an INT 3 check.
- Find the multi-colored rocks at southeast, recover the codex
- Head back to Derina Gasham and turn in the codex.

Detailed Walkthrough
Go from Southern Dragon Mountains into the Ashen Wastes. Beware the glowing ash! Having Anti-Rad gear will make your life much easier. The codex is near the water like you were told but your character will NOT be able to find it initially. You need to swing all around the coast till you end up at the NorthWestern-most area. There will be a corpse there and passing an INT 3 check advances the quest.
Head back down the SE coast, and go right until you find a short narrow path with some 'strange-colored rocks' at the end. Examine these rocks and you will unearth the Codex and a nifty shield.
Head back to Derina Gasham and turn in the quest.
