There are only four primary weapon types: 2-handed, 1-handed, light, and ranged weapons. Within these types, there are many secondary weapon types.

2-Handed

These weapons are quite heavy so require a great deal of Strength and specialized training as a Warrior to wield. Warriors can advance their prowess even further with the Two Handed Expert advanced skill.

  • Greatswords
  • Greataxes
  • Mauls

Hand

One-handed weapons, or just hand weapons for short, are of average weight but require some martial training to use. As a general rule, Warriors can use any of these weapons, Rogues can use longswords, and Clerics can use maces.

  • Longswords
  • Axes
  • Maces

Light

These weapons are very light and can be easily concealed. Most of these weapons can be used by anyone, though some require the specialized training of a Rogue. Such weapons are unusual in that they are the only weapons Warriors do not receive training in. Note that Rogues can't use hammers.

  • Daggers
  • Shortswords
  • Hammers

Ranged

These weapons are quite bulky so require specialized training as a Warrior or Rogue to wield. Both classes can learn the advanced skills Precission Shots and Rapid Fire. Only Rogues, however, due to their natural agility can truly be trained in Archery.

  • Bows
